How to buy branded watches wholesale: 10 things to check before your first order
Updated: October 2026
To choose a branded watch wholesaler, check eight things above all: whether the minimum order is counted in units or in euros, whether there is a single price or volume tiers, whether the product is original and comes with an invoice, who provides the warranty, whether the company publishes verifiable details, how you pay, what the real lead time is and what happens with returns.
This guide, for shops, e-commerce businesses and professional resellers in Spain and across Europe, explains how to check this with any wholesale watch supplier or distributor, along with two more points: catalog and real human contact. At the end: how ChronoSave handles it, and when it is not a fit.
1. Is the minimum order counted in units or in euros?
It is what most shapes your first order. Many wholesalers set a minimum order value, often €400-500; others set a number of units. With a minimum in euros and entry-level watches, you end up buying more pieces than you need to test the market. Ask:
- Is it counted on the whole order or per reference?
- Can you mix brands and models to reach it?
- Is there a trial order, and from how many units?
At ChronoSave it is 5 units across the whole cart, mixing brands and models, with no minimum order value (with entry-level models, from around €270 + VAT), and your first order can be from 1 unit, at the same price and with no surcharge. More in our guide to the minimum order at a watch wholesaler.
2. Is there one price, or does it depend on volume?
Many wholesalers apply discount ladders: more volume, lower unit price, sometimes tied to turnover targets. What matters is the price at your real volume, not the one in the best tier of the price list: compare it with the recommended retail price (RRP) and you have your margin.
At ChronoSave there is one single price per product, with no tiers or targets: you pay the same for 5 units as for 500. With an account, every product page shows the B2B price, the RRP and your margin; on part of the catalog, the discount on RRP is up to 85%.
3. Are the watches original, and do they come with an invoice?
It is the first thing your customer will ask about. Insist on:
- 100% original product, with its documentation and packaging.
- An invoice with every order: it documents the origin of what you resell.
- Clarity about its position: whether it officially represents the brands or is a wholesaler reselling original product.
ChronoSave is the latter: a B2B wholesaler that does not represent the manufacturers. Products come through a network of specialist suppliers and partners in the sector, selected for their reliability and product traceability. Every watch is 100% original, with its documentation and packaging, and every order ships with its invoice.
4. Who provides the warranty, how long does it last and what does it cover?
A wholesaler's warranty is its own, not the manufacturer's official warranty, and that is how you should explain it to your customer. Ask who provides it, how long it lasts, what it covers (movement, case, strap), what it excludes and how to claim.
At ChronoSave it is 24 months against manufacturing defects (movement, case and strap), under a ChronoSave warranty, not the manufacturer's; misuse is not covered. Claims go by email or WhatsApp with the order number, reference and photos. Terms on the Warranty page.
5. Can you verify who the company is?
Before you transfer money to a new supplier, make sure it publishes its registered company name and EU VAT number, and check that number for free in VIES, the European Commission's service: it tells you whether the number is active and, often, which company it belongs to. If it does not exist or the name does not match the website, stop there.
ChronoSave publishes its details in its legal notice: IDT s.r.l., VAT 10010450012.
6. How do you pay, and who issues the invoice?
The norm is bank transfer against a proforma invoice: it is the industry standard, not a warning sign. What you should check is that the proforma and the invoice are issued by the company identified on the website, with its legal name and VAT number; if something does not add up, ask before you pay.
At ChronoSave payment is by bank transfer only, against the proforma you receive by email when you complete your order, and the order is prepared once payment is confirmed. No card, PayPal or cash on delivery.
7. What is the real lead time?
Ask for the total lead time, from payment to delivery, and when the clock starts: a vague “a few days”, or a lead time that only covers transport, hides preparation time and affects your restocking. Also confirm that shipping is within the EU, with no customs.
At ChronoSave it is 15 to 20 business days from payment confirmation (about 15 of them preparation), with tracking by email, shipping within the EU with no customs and one single rate for all of Europe. More on Shipping and lead times.
8. What happens if a watch arrives damaged or you need to return it?
Between businesses, the consumer right of withdrawal generally does not apply, so before ordering check how soon you must report transport damage and how long you have to request a return.
At ChronoSave, visible damage must be reported within 24 hours of receipt, with photos of the packaging and the product, and you have 14 calendar days from receipt to arrange a return, getting in touch before sending anything back.
9. Can you see the catalog and stock before committing?
A closed wholesale price list is normal in B2B, but you should be able to see references, stock and RRP without paying anything, and register for free to see prices. Also look at catalog depth in your brands.
ChronoSave carries 14 brands, from Seiko and Tissot to TAG Heuer and Gucci, with more than 3,500 references. Without an account you see product, stock and RRP; with a free account and instant access, you see the B2B price and margin on every product page and can download brand catalogs as PDFs with your price.
10. Is there a real person on the other side?
Before your first order, send a specific question and see whether they answer what you asked, clearly and through a direct channel: that is how you will be treated when there is a problem.
At ChronoSave you get answers from the same team that prepares the orders, by email (Sales@chronosave.com), WhatsApp (+34 696 08 27 82) or the contact form.

FAQ
What is the best branded watch wholesaler?
There is no single best one for everyone. If you buy a few units across many brands, a minimum in units and a single price will suit you; if you move high volume of one brand, a volume discount ladder or working directly with the brand may pay off.
How do I know if an online watch wholesaler is trustworthy?
Check that it publishes its company name and a VAT number that is valid in VIES, that the proforma and the invoice for every order are issued by that company and that its terms are in writing. More in our guide on whether buying wholesale watches online is safe.
Does ChronoSave officially represent the brands?
No. ChronoSave is a B2B wholesaler that resells 100% original product from 14 brands, without representing the manufacturers or acting on their behalf. The business relationship and the 24-month warranty are always with ChronoSave.
If these terms fit your business, register for free: instant access, no purchase commitment, and the B2B price, RRP and margin of every reference in view.
